The International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) is contributing an element on Facilitating Learning at the forthcoming Olympic Solidarity L2 Technical Course for Coaches in Rowing at Seville.
The outcomes of this element of the workshop are to help coach developers to:
- explain the principles that increase the likelihood of learning taking place
- turn presentations into outcome-based engaging activity-based sessions
- adopt a more learner-centred approach
- identify ways to enhance their own and other coaches’ reflective skills
- design an element of the WR Level 2 Coach Development Programme based on adult learning principles and co-facilitate the session
- practise a review process to help people reflect on their practice
- assess their own facilitative skills and action plan to apply and enhance them in their own context.
