Cyprus, Latvia, and Finland Benefit from Development Support at 2024 European U23 Championships – Türkiye

Edirne, Türkiye – The 2024 European Rowing Under 23 Championships (ERU23CHs) held in Edirne showcased not only the raw talent of young rowers from across the continent but also the dedication to nurturing emerging talent from developing rowing nations. This year, the European Rowing Development Programme, with the generous support of the 2024 Edirne ERU23CHs Organising Committee, extended its helping hand to three countries: Latvia, Finland, and Cyprus

World Rowing and European Rowing, as part of their mission to promote inclusivity and growth in the sport, regularly provide development opportunities for targeted Member Federations that are identified as needing assistance for their crews.

These development initiatives aim to empower athletes from less-established rowing nations, ensuring their participation in key events. By levelling the playing field, these programmes enable more nations to compete at a high level and provide teams the opportunity to gain valuable international race experience.
