Under the guidance of World Rowing Coach Mykolas Masilionis, alongside experienced Lithuanian coaches, athletes took part in structured on-water sessions, technical development, and physical conditioning programmes.

The camp provided access to excellent facilities and equipment, enabling participants to focus on refining technique and improving overall performance.

Beyond the daily training programme, the camp served as an important platform for building a sustainable network of coaches and athletes in the region. By encouraging collaboration and shared learning, the initiative helped to strengthen connections between federations and promote the exchange of coaching knowledge and best practices.

World Rowing expressed its appreciation to the host nation Lithuania, the Lithuanian Rowing Federation, and the organising committee of the Amber Oars Regatta for their commitment to delivering a high-quality training environment and supporting regional development efforts.

The success of the Trakai training camp highlights the value of regional cooperation in athlete development. With strong engagement from participating nations, there is growing optimism that the initiative can evolve into an annual programme, expanding in scope and participation in the coming years.

By continuing to invest in such collaborative opportunities, World Rowing aims to support athletes and coaches in enhancing their technical, physical and tactical capabilities—contributing to the long-term growth of rowing across the region.
